Section 15 was a definition clause that explained the meaning of “British India” — the territory directly ruled by the British Crown during colonial times.
- Not an offence — carries no punishment or fine
- Repealed/Omitted after India became independent and adopted its Constitution
- Not applicable in any court case today
- Now conceptually replaced by Section 18 (“India”)
